SEQUEL
A streetwear label, finished and ready to run.
A chaptered brand with a story, a numbered collector mechanic, 122 pieces in hand and a manufacturer waiting. You register the business, connect a payment method, and you are trading this month.
Reel 02 The proposition
You are not buying a clothing brand.
You are buying the nine months before one.
Almost nobody fails at selling t‑shirts. They fail at the part before that — finding a manufacturer who answers, getting samples that don't disappoint, learning what 230gsm means, designing something people would actually wear, getting labels woven, building a store, shooting it properly.
That stretch takes most people six to nine months and upwards of RM30,000, and it is where the overwhelming majority quit. Every part of it is finished here, paid for, and sitting in boxes.
Manufactured by a Foshan apparel factory on 230gsm and 260gsm 100% cotton with high‑density DTG printing. You get the contact and the unit pricing, so restocking is a message, not a search.
Three original designs in full size runs, woven neck labels and hem tags, packaging, cards, size chart. A finished product line, not a concept.
A custom store built fresh under your name on the brand’s own domain, sequelhq.co, plus a full photography and video library and a thermal label printer so shipping labels print in‑house from day one.
Reel 03 The idea
Sequel does not do seasons.
It does chapters.
Most small labels release a batch, sell what they can, and start again from zero with the next batch. Sequel was built to work the other way round: each release is a chapter — a named story with a small numbered run — and every garment ships with a card carrying its number in that chapter.
That card is not a thank‑you note. It is the retention mechanic. It is the customer’s proof of where they sit in the story, and it is the reason they are waiting when the next chapter opens. Holders get first claim; the run is finite; scarcity does the marketing that a small brand cannot afford to buy.
A theme, not a season. Chapter One is Origin.
Every garment carries its place in that chapter.
The buyer’s number, on their own card, hand‑finished.
Holders get first claim. The loop closes and restarts.
The format is the asset. A label that sells blanks with a print on them competes on price against every other label that sells blanks with a print on them. A label with a story and a numbered series competes on continuity — customers come back for the next chapter, not the next discount. The chapters continue for as long as the owner keeps writing them.
Being precise about this: the numbering and card system is designed, the artwork exists and the cards are made — but it has never been run. No piece has yet been sold with its number. You are buying the mechanism built and ready, not a proven one. That is reflected in the price.
Reel 04 The collection
Chapter One: Origin
Three pieces, 122 in total, every one in an unbroken XS–XL run. Unused, bagged, never retailed. They are meant to be read in order: alone, then refusing to be shaped, then taking it on.
| Design | XS | S | M | L | XL | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kamodo — black | 4 | 8 | 14 | 8 | 3 | 37 |
| Untamed — purple | 4 | 11 | 19 | 7 | 4 | 45 |
| Embrace — navy | 5 | 8 | 14 | 10 | 3 | 40 |
| Total | 13 | 27 | 47 | 25 | 10 | 122 |
Branded down to the seam
These are not printed blanks. Every piece carries a woven neck label with its size, a woven hem tag, and a numbered drop tag for Chapter One. Each one ships in branded packaging with its own authenticity card.
81% of the stock sits in S, M and L — the sizes that actually move. The thin sizes are XS and XL, which is exactly where you want the gaps to be. Every piece is individually polybagged and size‑stickered, so it is ready to ship the day you take it, and there are no seconds in the count: nothing marked, nothing stained.
800 branded neck labels and 2,000 hem tags are already manufactured and sitting at the factory, waiting to be sewn into your next production run at no extra cost. The manufacturer has confirmed those quantities in writing, confirmed they transfer to you, and will deal with you directly from handover onwards. They stay in China — they are not shipped with the stock.

Reel 06 The numbers

The stock is already paid for, so your first sell‑through carries no cost of goods. At RM99 a piece, 122 pieces is RM12,078 in revenue against zero COGS — roughly 44% of the purchase price recovered before you reorder a single unit. Restocking from the same factory lands at roughly RM60–72 a piece, which is a 40–50% gross margin at RM99–129 retail.
That is arithmetic, not a forecast. Whether the stock actually sells depends entirely on how you run it — and anyone who tells you otherwise about a clothing brand is selling you something else.
Reel 07 The alternatives
What else RM27,500 buys you
Currently listed in the same business‑for‑sale category in Malaysia:
| Listing | Ongoing burn | Asking |
|---|---|---|
| Fully‑equipped barbershop, Penang | Rent + staff | RM41,000 |
| Spa business, Johor | Rent + staff | RM48,000 |
| Hair salon, fully equipped, Selangor | Rent + staff | RM55,000 |
| F&B business, two locations | Rent + staff | RM95,000 |
| Sequel — complete brand package | None | RM27,500 |
Every one of those comes with a lease you cannot walk away from and a payroll that runs whether or not anyone walks in. This has neither. It fits in the boot of a car and can be run from a bedroom, alongside a job, until it earns the right to be more than that.
Reel 08 Straight answers
The questions you should be asking
Why is this for sale?
I am in Malaysia on a student visa, which does not permit me to operate a business here. I built the entire thing before I properly understood that. It is finished, it is unused, and it is worth considerably more to someone who can actually trade with it than it is sitting in my room.
Is there a trading history, customers, revenue?
No. There was a brief soft launch and then it stopped. There is no customer list, no revenue and no track record, and I am not going to dress one up for you. That is precisely why the price is RM27,500 rather than RM60,000 — you are buying the setup, not a customer base.
What guarantee do I have that it will make money?
None. What is guaranteed is what is in the box: the stock, the brand, the site, the equipment and the supplier line, all verified by you before you pay anything. What happens after that is down to how you run it.
What do I still have to do myself?
Register the business (I will help), set up your own payment gateway and bank account, and do the actual selling — posting, replying, packing, shipping. This removes the setup work, not the work.
Can I inspect everything first?
Yes, and you should. Come and count the stock, handle the printer, look through the design files on screen. Nothing is paid and nothing is signed until you have seen all of it in person.
Reel 09 How the handover works
Four stages, roughly two weeks
Inspection
We meet. You count the stock, test the printer, review the files. No money moves. If it is not what this page says it is, you walk.
Agreement
A written agreement with the full asset list attached, signed by both of us. 30% deposit. sequelhq.co moves into your name and your site build begins.
Handover
Balance settled, then everything transfers the same day — stock, equipment, all files, site access, domain, supplier introduction.
Support
30 days of direct access to me while you find your feet — the printer, reordering, the site, the content plan.
Come and see it in person. Count everything, ask anything. If it is not right for you, no hard feelings — but you should at least look.
